Processing documents with difficult-to-read pages
Curia Contract Review can process documents with challenging readability, including handwritten text, old style fonts, blurry scans, skewed pages, and cropped content.
The simple rule: if you can read it, we can likely process it.
What types of difficult documents can be processed?
Our document processing handles:
- Handwritten text and annotations
- Old style fonts from historical documents
- Blurry or unclear scans
- Skewed or angled pages
- Partially cropped content
- Faded or light text
When you upload a difficult-to-read document, the system automatically processes it using advanced text recognition. The document goes through the standard preflight and review process, just like any other document.
What if some text cannot be read?
Automatic data extraction and analysis will fail for these sections and will need to be completed manually. Other sections will not be affected.
Tips for better results
- Upload the highest quality scan available
- Ensure all text is visible and not cut off
- Use colour scans for handwritten text when possible
- Scan at 300 DPI or higher for challenging documents
Important: While we can process most difficult documents, extremely poor quality may affect accuracy. Always verify critical information.
