Managing clauses (NSW)
Reusable special-conditions content for NSW. Active clauses are matched against an NSW contract during processing and pre-fill the review.
The Clauses tab of the Library stores special-conditions content you reuse across NSW reviews. Each clause carries a report title, report content, comment, risk, and recommendation. Active clauses are matched against the special conditions in an NSW contract during processing and pre-filled into the review.
Adding a clause
Open Settings > Library, switch to the Clauses tab, and click Add new Clause. A side pane opens with the form.
Required fields
- State - locked after creation.
- Clause name - your internal name for the clause. Used in dropdowns when adding a clause manually.
- Report title - the heading used in the client report.

Managing existing clauses
The Clauses table lists every clause with its name, tags, risk, and status (Active or Disabled). Click a row to edit it.
The row action menu offers:
- Edit - change any field. Changes apply to future reviews only.
- Clone - open a new clause form pre-filled with the existing values.
- Delete - remove the clause permanently.
To stop a clause being used without losing it, edit the clause and uncheck Active.
Adding a clause during review
A custom clause created on the Special Conditions tab of a review can be saved to the Library with the Add to library button on the clause card. See Adding content to library during review.
FAQ
Do changes to a clause affect existing reviews?
No. Changes apply to future reviews only. Reviews already open keep the clause content they had when they were started.
What’s the difference between disabling and deleting a clause?
A disabled clause is hidden from auto-matching and the manual-add dropdown but is preserved. A deleted clause is gone for good.
How does Curia decide which clause to pre-fill?
During processing of an NSW contract, Curia matches active clauses in the Library against the special conditions extracted from the contract. When a match is found, the clause’s report title, report content, comment, risk, and recommendation are pre-filled on the review.
