How reviews are saved

You don’t need to save a review manually. Curia saves your changes while you work and again when you navigate away.

What gets saved automatically

While a review is open for editing, Curia saves the current state every 30 seconds.

When you click out of the review, to the Reviews page, to another tab in Curia, or via the browser back button, Curia saves before navigating.

Finalising the review from the Finalise tab also saves the current state first. It then locks the review fields and closes the review, so there is nothing further to save against the review data until you reopen it. See Understanding review states.

When a review changes in another session

Only one session can save changes to a review at a time. If a colleague opens the same review and saves a change, or you have the review open in a second browser tab, whichever session saved first keeps saving. The other stops and shows a banner at the top of the review.

The banner names who made the change and when. If the change came from your own second tab, it names you. When no name is shown, the change came from someone using Reset all data, or from Curia support.

Click Reload to load the review as it now stands and carry on working. Anything you changed in this session since its last save is not kept, so redo it after reloading.

If the review was closed in another session, by finalising it or using Mark as closed, the banner tells you the review has been completed rather than naming a change. Reloading opens the closed review on the Finalise tab with its fields locked. Click Reopen review and make changes there before making further changes.

Closing the browser

Closing the browser tab or window does not trigger an autosave. Up to 30 seconds of work since the last autosave can be lost.

FAQ

Is there a manual save button?

There is no general save button. Saves happen on the 30-second timer and on navigation. The Finalise tab has its own controls for generating and downloading the report.

How often is the review saved?

Every 30 seconds during work, and once more when you navigate away from the review.

Can two people work on the same review at once?

No. Curia stops one person saving over another, but that is a safety net rather than a way of working, and whoever is blocked loses what they had typed. Agree who is taking a review before you both open it.
