Setting a firm default from a review
Turn a clause or dealing visibility change in a review into your firm's default for new reviews, without leaving the review.
When you toggle a clause or dealing away from your firm’s default, you can make that the default for every new review. Only admins can do this, on clauses and dealings whose default comes from the Library.
Making the change
- Toggle the clause or dealing on or off.
- Hover over or tap Set as firm default beside the toggle to see what the new default will be.
- Click Set as firm default.

Curia confirms the change with an Undo button and an Open library button, which opens the setting in the Library. Undo is also available beside the toggle while the confirmation is open.
The change applies to new reviews. Reviews already in progress keep their current visibility.
Clauses
A clause’s default comes from its category’s visibility setting. Setting a firm default moves the category to the nearest setting that gives the result you toggled.
A category’s setting covers both its General Conditions and its Special Conditions. If the move changes the other kind too, the confirmation says so.
Set as firm default is available on clauses Curia matched to a category, unless a library rule recommends action on the clause or a special condition deletes it. Those decide the clause’s visibility whatever the category’s setting.
Dealings
A dealing’s default comes from the Library setting for its category on the type of title search it sits on. Setting a firm default switches that one setting on or off.
VIC VIC: details specific to Victoria reviews
On a mutual dealing that applies to every lot in the plan, the setting that changes is the one for plan-wide mutual dealings.
Set as firm default is available on dealings whose visibility came from a Library category.
Clauses tab filter
The Show filter on the Clauses tab has a firm default too. When you switch it to All clauses or Included in report and that isn’t the current default, a link such as Set ‘Included in report’ as firm default is shown beside the filters. Click it to make that filter the default for every review in the same state across your firm.

Curia confirms the change with an Undo button and an Open settings button, which opens the default in General settings.
