Glossary

Curia-specific terms as they appear in the product. Use this when a label on screen doesn't match what you'd expect from elsewhere in conveyancing.

Amendment

The legal wording of a change requested to the contract, written for the vendor’s solicitor. Sits alongside the Recommendation on a review field.

Amendment requests

The Finalise tab section that lists every Amendment generated across the review, ready to send to the vendor’s solicitor.

Clause

A numbered provision Curia surfaces from the contract, primarily on the VIC Clauses tab where each one can be categorised and reviewed.

Dealing

An interest registered against a title that Curia pulls through from the title search and lists for review.

Document

A PDF uploaded to Curia. One document becomes one review.

Field

An individual data point in a review. Curia may prefill a field, Ria may post a Finding on it, and you decide the final value.

Finalise

The last tab of a review. You generate the Report from here and mark the review complete.

Library

Your firm’s reusable content: Recommendations, dealings, clauses, and clause categories. Edits in the Library flow into future reviews.

Off-the-Plan

A contract where the lot is not yet registered. Curia adjusts which fields apply.

Particulars

The tab covering the contract’s headline details: parties, property, price, dates.

Preflight

The automatic first pass that runs on upload. It checks consistency, currency, and the documents the contract requires before you start the review.

Recommendation

A plain-language note for your client explaining a point in the contract. Often paired with an Amendment that goes to the vendor’s solicitor.

Report

The final document Curia generates for your client, pulling together fields and active Recommendations from the review.

Review

A single contract going through Curia, from upload to Report. Each tab covers one stage of that flow.

Ria

Curia’s assistant. She reads the contract and posts Findings on review fields where a value needs a closer look. You remain the reviewer.

Ria Finding

The boxed suggestion Ria posts on a field, labelled Review Ria Finding. It contains her suggested value, her reasoning, and a jump to where she found it.

Special Conditions

The NSW tab where Curia lists the contract’s special conditions for review. VIC’s equivalent is the Clauses tab.

Title

A parcel of land referenced by the contract. One contract may cover several.

The detailed record for each title. Curia reads it from the registry document (the title search on NSW, the Register Search Statement on VIC) and surfaces the extracted fields on the Titles tab.

Vendor Statement

The VIC tab where Curia surfaces the Section 32 disclosure fields for review.
