How Pulse protects your firm's data
How Curia Pulse pools and anonymises review activity so no firm's figures, clients or contracts can be identified from the network figures.
Pulse figures are drawn from reviews across the Curia network. Your firm’s reviews contribute to them, pooled with other firms and never shown on their own.
What Pulse shows
Every network figure is a share, a median or a change over time across many firms. Pulse never shows:
- Another firm’s name or figures
- Totals, such as the number of reviews or firms behind a figure
- Individual contracts, properties, parties or clients
- Clause wording that could identify a contract
For spread, Pulse shows the typical firm and the middle half of firms, never the busiest or quietest firm.
How figures are kept anonymous
Curia follows established analytics and data privacy practice to anonymise every network figure before it’s published:
- Enough firms - a figure needs a minimum number of contributing firms
- No single firm dominates - a figure is hidden when one firm makes up too much of it, so it can’t reflect that firm’s activity
- Rounded figures - figures are rounded to the precision the page shows
- Fixed monthly figures - network figures are calculated once a month from completed months, so they don’t move as anyone works
A figure that doesn’t meet these protections is never published.
Your firm’s own figures
Figures labelled Your firm are your firm’s own activity, shown only to your firm’s admins. When you download a panel, your firm’s figures are left out unless you choose to include them. See Curia Pulse.
Opting out
Your firm can opt out of Pulse at any time. Once your firm opts out, it no longer contributes to any network figure, including past months. See Opting out of Curia Pulse.
