Linking reviews to matters

Link a contract review to a matter while you upload it, and the matter's client contacts come across with it.

When you upload a contract, you can link it to a matter so the review sits alongside the matter’s other reviews and parties. Linking is optional, you can upload without a matter and link one later. See Changing a review’s matter.

Linking during upload

The upload has a Link to a matter step. Search for a matter and select it.

Without an integration, you can search your matters or click Create new matter to make one without leaving the upload. With an integration connected, you search your CRM matters instead, and the matter is brought into Curia when the contract uploads.

To start a review already linked to a matter, open the matter and choose Review from the New + menu. The matter is selected for you.

Client contacts come from the matter

When you link a matter, its purchaser contacts are added to the review as its client contacts. The step lists them under “Purchaser contacts linked to this matter” so you can see who will be linked. You don’t link client contacts separately during upload.

You can still add or remove client contacts afterwards on the review’s Client tab. See Linking contacts to reviews.

Creating a matter during upload

Without an integration connected, click Create new matter in the Link to a matter step. Fill in the matter form and click Create matter. The new matter is selected for the review. See Creating and managing matters.

Closed matters

A contract can only be uploaded to an active matter. If you pick a closed matter, Curia clears the selection and tells you to reopen it first or choose another.
