Introduction to report templates

Overview of the report template system, how to access it, and how to navigate the template editor.

Accessing the Template List

To open the Template Dashboard, navigate to Settings > Templates from the main menu.

Template Dashboard showing the list of templates by state

The dashboard lists your report templates by state, showing each template's name, status, and when it was last modified.

Template statuses

Each template has one of three statuses:

  • Published - your template is live. Reports generated from reviews will use this version.
  • Draft - you have unpublished changes. Your live reports are not affected until you publish.
  • Legacy - your account is using the older report system. Legacy templates cannot be edited within the application - contact Curia to make changes or to migrate your account to the new template system.

Opening a template

Click any row in the dashboard table to open that template.

Published templates initially open in read-only mode, where you can browse the structure and review how your sections, groups, and items are currently configured. This is useful for checking your current content before making changes. To start editing, click the Edit Template button in the header - this creates a draft so you can make changes safely without affecting your live reports.

Editor layout

The template editor has two tabs:

  • Report Items - your active template content, organised into sections, groups, and items
  • Excluded Items - content that has been removed from your template but is available to add back

The header area shows the template name and state. When you're editing, additional action buttons appear (Discard, Settings, Version History, Publish Changes).
