Billing stages
A review is billed in two stages. The Preflight fee is charged when the contract is uploaded. The review fee is charged when you click Start review.
The two stages
A review has two billing events, each charged separately on the invoice for the month it occurs in.
- Preflight fee - charged when the contract is uploaded and processed. This covers Preflight, regardless of whether the review proceeds.
- Review fee - charged when you click Start review on the Preflight tab. This covers the rest of the review.
A more complex review bills at a higher rate and appears as its own line.
Abandoning after Preflight
If you click Abandon review on the Preflight tab, only the Preflight fee applies. No review fee is charged.
How charges appear on invoices
Each fee is a separate line item on the invoice for the month it was charged in. Preflight and review fees are listed individually. All amounts are shown excluding GST.
If a contract is uploaded in one month and the review is started the next, the Preflight fee lands on the first month’s invoice and the review fee on the second.
Checking your rates
To view the rates on your account, go to Settings > Plan & Billing and scroll to the Service rates section. The table lists each service and its rate, excluding GST. Only Account Owners can see this page.
Checking which reviews have been billed
To see the billable events on your account for a given period, go to Settings > Usage. See Billing usage report for how to read and export it.
